Southern Connecticut Women's Golf Association

Established in 1964, the Southern Connecticut Women's Golf Association is a partnership of women's clubs from Southwest CT associations. Member courses are located in Southern Connecticut and each course hosts the other courses for one tournament each year.

The format is usually three flights, low net/low gross, but has been a best ball format as well, with skiIls prizes for closest to the pin, closest to the line and/or longest drive per flight.

The number of players in each tournament can range from 45 to 90 players, depending on the popularity of the venue and availability of tee times, or up to 144 for the end of the year championship tournament.

SCWGA is open to all women golfer with the following requirements: New members must have an index of 34.0 or lower to join and must be a member of an associated golf club. Members whose index exceed 34.0 must play to a 34.0 index in SCWGA tournaments. The cost of mernbership is $25 for individual members.
